18TH ANNUAL SEA SPRITE “A” and “B” Meet

PLACE:

YMCA Ellen Shapiro Natatorium

Wooster High School, 515 Oldman Road, Wooster, Ohio  44691 Click for Map (330) 345-3131

 

 

FACILITY:

25 yard, 8 lane pool.  Daktronic Timing System with scoreboard.  25 yard events will be electronically timed.  Spectator seating for 300+ people.  Locker rooms and a concession stand will be open.

 

 

AGE GROUPS:

14 year old, 13 year old, 12 year old, 11 year old, 10 year old, 9 year old, 8 year old, 7 year old and 6 & under.  Swimmers may not age up.  Age as of December 1, 2009.

 

 

ENTRY DEADLINE:         

All entries must be received by Monday, December 21, 2009.  No telephone entries will be accepted.

ENTRIES LIMITATIONS:         

Entries must be submitted in CL2 Team Manager format and sent in disc form.  Any team who does not submit their entries in this form should add a $2.00 per swimmer processing fee.

 

 

 

Swimmers may enter up for 4 events.  All swimmers must be members of a YMCA.  Age groups are to be taken literally. Age is determined as of December 1, 2009. All events will be seeded according to submitted entry times. Swimmers who have previously achieved A times will be seeded with swimmers who have not achieved A times.

 

 

ENTRY FEES:                               

$3.00 per event. Make checks payable to “Wooster Swim Club Boosters”.  One check per team is preferred.

 

 

DECK ENTRIES:          

Deck entries will be accepted on a space available basis the morning of the meet until 9:30 am.  Deck entrants not previously registered must show proof of YMCA membership.  Deck entry fees are $6.00 per event.  Changing from one previously entered event to a different event, on the day of the meet, constitutes a new deck entry and will be charged the deck entry fee

 

 

SCHEDULE:           

One session.  Warm-ups:  Girls - 9:00 am.; Boys - 9:30 am.

Meet begins at 10:00 am.

 

 

CONDUCT:  

Coaches will be responsible for the conduct of his/her swimmers.  Swimmers are to enter the natatorium through the locker rooms.  Only swimmers and meet personnel will be permitted on the deck.  Please be responsible for clean-up of your area.

 

 

AWARDS:

Medals 1st thru 3rd place.  Ribbons 4th thru 10th place.

Awards will be made based on final swimmer results, NOT entry times. Swimmers 8 and under will be given awards based on simple placement for their respective age group. Two flights will be scored for swimmers ages 9 through 14: A swimmers (those achieving the indicated A time for the event), and B swimmers (those not achieving the indicated A time for the event). A swimmers and B swimmers will be awarded points based on their places in their respective flights, not their overall place in each event. Points will be rewarded based on final results of each flight: 1st - 11 points; 2nd - 9 points; 3rd - 8 points, etc. Medals thru third place, ribbons thru tenth place. High point trophies will be awarded for visiting teams through three places.

Adults:  $3.00     Children: Free     Heat Sheets:  $2.00

 

 

T-SHIRTS:

T-shirts for Sea Sprite must be ordered as pre-sale.  Shirts are $15.00 each.  Coaches should turn in the forms along with their entry forms.
